Austin, I noticed on your practice mp3 that you were actually playing the mandolin part on Hemingway. I have this track without singing that makes it more clear what the guitar does.
Basically, all the down strokes are Mando (that start at the beginning of the song). You start on verse 2 with the 2 and 4 stuff. Then on the bridge I have a melody line, and you play soft chords, then upstrokes and slow arpegios for verse 3 till the end. I've actually never played it, but I don't think its that difficult.
